Calvary St. George's Food Pantry
Donations of non-perishable foods and/or local grocery cards are welcome. Annual Thanksgiving Baskets are distributed to any family in need. Sign-up starts the first Monday of November. The Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM. Call us at 203-333-5116 x 150. You should have an appropriate referral and a photo ID to receive food from this food pantry. Families are referred from a social service agency or 211 info line. Call the Vicar at extension 101 if there are additional concerns. This past Thanksgiving 2007 we were blessed with the gift of 110 turkeys which allowed us to provide 1,477 Thanksgiving meals. That is in addition to 711 as a part of our regular monthly outreach. We are so grateful to all of you who donate both food and funds to the Food Pantry. It is an important ministry which is vital to serving our friends in the Greater Bridgeport area. |
